The Department of Environmental Engineering (DTU Environment) at the Technical university of Denmark (DTU) is one of the largest academic units specializing in environmental engineering in Europe. DTU Environment develops new environmentally friendly and sustainable technologies and disseminates this knowledge to society and new generations of engineers. DTU Environment is member of Water DTU, Center for Water Activities at DTU, which increases the quality and extent of research and education within the water field at DTU by utilizing synergies across departments. The centre included activities within water technology, water systems, water resources, and water management in an urban, industrial and natural context.
